This position involves completing opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing the premises. The Barista will set up, stock, and maintain work areas, input orders into the cash register system, and collect payments. Responsibilities include taking orders, recording them in the MICROS system, and preparing food and coffee beverages. The role also requires ensuring appliances are operated correctly, bussing coffee cart areas and tables, and cleaning dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day. Additionally, the Barista will obtain the necessary change for expected business levels, count the bank at the end of the shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, submit receipts, and secure the bank. The position also requires adherence to company safety and security policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, and completing safety training. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service are also key aspects of the role. This includes welcoming guests, anticipating their needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Effective communication, positive working relationships, and adherence to quality standards are expected. The role involves reading and visually verifying information, inspecting tools and equipment, and performing physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and manipulating objects. The Barista will also need to move through confined or elevated spaces, use stairs, and perform reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping motions. Other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors may also be assigned.
