About The Position

This is a Seasonal Maintenance Worker I position located in Cleveland County. The Seasonal Maintenance Worker position is responsible for performing a variety of outdoor maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and visual appeal of Cleveland County properties. Primary duties include mowing, edging, weeding, blowing, planting and maintaining sprinkler systems. The role also includes general upkeep of county-owned tax resale properties and maintaining the exterior grounds of the Cleveland County Courthouse. This position requires physical labor, the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and attention to detail in maintaining public ground and facilities.

  • Possess a valid driver's license from a U.S. State or Territory to perform necessary job-related travel.

  • Operate commercial vehicles, including dump trucks, flatbeds, or other equipment, to transport materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety standards and reporting maintenance needs promptly.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking oil, fuel, tires, and other vehicle components.
  • Follow Cleveland County’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Immediately report any accidents, unusual occurrences, or any other safety-related issues to his/her supervisor.
