Responsible for grounds and trail maintenance, vegetation and wildlife management, building cleaning. Performs vegetation management and forestry work including mulching, mowing, burning, watering, pruning, staking, and fence and week trees, shrubs, vines, and flowers. Performs storm damage clean up and release work. Controls invasive species including purple loosestrife, burdock, buckthorn, nettle, box elder, and night shade. Maintains the nature trails by laying wood chips, mowing, and replacing boardwalks, bridges, and trail signage. Performs wildlife management including banding and monitoring geese, checking and maintaining lagoon oxygen levels, purple martin colony, building bird nest boxes. Assists with feeding and caretaking duties of captive Wildlife Sanctuary animals and performs animal cage maintenance. Constructs and maintains indoor and outdoor animal exhibits. Maintains and replaces fences. Performs general maintenance including picking up litter and garbage, cleaning buildings, and painting. Follows all policies, procedures, and the philosophy that is set forth by the City of Green Bay Parks, Recreation, & Forestry Department. Performs other duties as assigned.
