About The Position
The Turlock Irrigation District is seeking Seasonal Employees for its Construction & Maintenance Department. These positions are temporary, lasting up to six months during the summer irrigation season, and will be involved in tasks such as chaining, pest control, facilities maintenance, pipeline repair, and other related duties as assigned. Work hours will vary based on business needs. This is not a regular full-time opening.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- Possession of an appropriate California driver's license (Class C)
- Background check at time of hire
Nice To Haves
- Prior work in the construction, repair, cleaning, and maintenance of irrigation canals, ditches, pipelines, pump-lines and structures
- Prior work in general carpentry, painting, plumbing, concrete and other similar tasks
- Prior work experience in operating construction equipment and power tools such as mowers, edgers and blowers
- Prior experience in the maintenance of hand tools and assigned equipment & perform preventive maintenance on such
- Ability to operate, grease, and maintain gunite-related equipment
- Class "A" Driver's License
