About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Seasonal Host to join our team at the Hoxton Portland! This is a seasonal position from March 27th to November 1st. Those interested in the position must have availability Thursday-Sunday nights. SHG is an organization whose success is rooted in its service culture. Requirements

Minimum of High School education
Minimum of one (1) year in similar role preferred
Team player
Ability to multi-task
Ability to communicate effectively verbally
Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, etc.
Basic mathematical skills as needed to make change and give refunds
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
Availability Thursday-Sunday nights

Responsibilities

Supervises and coordinates activities of restaurant personnel to provide fast and courteous service to guests
Schedules dining reservations and arranges special services for diners
Greets and escorts guests, provides menus
Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness
Collects payments from guests
Totals receipts at end of shift
Perform various other duties as assigned
