About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment at Sequoyah State Park Lodge by performing routine housekeeping and custodial duties. Work includes cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas, stocking supplies, disposing of waste, moving furniture and equipment as needed, and supporting facility operations while promoting the health, safety, and comfort of visitors, guests, and staff.

The position is seasonal and part-time, pays $12.00 per hour, and may require flexible scheduling based on agency needs, including holidays, weekends, or events.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Some locations require a valid driver's license.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist while performing duties.
• Regularly use hands and arms to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, and operate cleaning equipment and tools.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; heavier items may occasionally require assistance.
• Safely climb stairs and use ladders or step stools when required.
• Maintain sufficient vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform duties safely, recognize hazards, and communicate effectively.
• Work indoors and outdoors with exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, dust, cleaning chemicals, and other environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, mop, scrub, wash, vacuum, wax, and polish floors, walls, woodwork, windows, furniture, and hardware.
• Clean and sanitize washrooms and bedrooms, and restock paper, towels, and soap.
• Operate washing machines and dryers using appropriate settings and temperatures.
• Fold and iron linens and towels.
• Collect and dispose of trash and garbage.
• Move furniture and equipment, including beds, tables, and chairs, to clean assigned areas.
• Stock housekeeping supplies.
• Observe and report safety violations and participate in emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations and agency needs.
