About The Position

This Seasonal Groundskeeper and Landscaper opportunity at Sinatra and Co. involves upholding the company's 'One Team, One Direction' value and striving for professional growth. The role encompasses a variety of duties including lawn care and maintenance (mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, raking leaves) for three properties located in Canandaigua, Fairport, and Brockport NY. It also involves installation and planting of flowers, shrubs, trees, and sod, as well as seasonal services like spring/fall cleanups and snow removal. The position requires operating and performing minor maintenance on equipment such as mowers, blowers, and chainsaws. Additional responsibilities include daily property inspections for trash, debris, or feces, keeping hallways clean (picking up trash, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, removing notices), replacing light bulbs in common areas, replacing first-floor window screens, assisting with apartment make-readies (trashing vacant units, caulking, checking appliances/smoke detectors, replacing parts), cleaning AC vents and replacing filters in vacant apartments, installing/moving/hooking up appliances, replacing air filters in occupied apartments, cleaning the pool area, and performing light painting duties. The role also involves assisting the Property Manager, Assistant Property Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Technician as requested. A team player mentality is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Lawn Care & Maintenance: Mowing, edging, trimming, pruning hedges/trees, weeding, and raking leaves for three properties located in Canandaigua, Fairport, and Brockport NY.
Installation & Planting: Planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and laying sod to enhance or create new landscapes.
Seasonal Services: Performing spring/fall cleanups and, in some cases, snow removal.
Equipment Operation: Using and performing minor maintenance on mowers, blowers, and chainsaws.
Inspecting property each morning and picking up any trash, debris or feces littering the grounds. This includes the perimeter of the property which can include public property in front of the community.
Keep hallways clean--pick up trash, sweep floors, vacuum, dust, remove dated notices from bulletin boards, etc.
Replace light bulbs in common areas and breezeways as needed.
Replace all first-floor window screens upon request.
Assist with apartment make-readies as requested--trash vacant units, caulk, check appliances and smoke detector, replace parts, etc.
Clean air conditioning vents and replace filter in all vacant apartments.
Install, move and hook up appliances.
Replace air filters as scheduled for all occupied apartments.
Clean pool area--hose down area, pick up trash, straighten chairs, etc.
Perform light painting duties as directed.
Assist the Property Manager, Assistant Property Manager, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Technician as requested.
