This position’s purpose is to weigh and cut product to meet production order specifications. The role involves activating machines, setting up material for raw hop processing, and working with labeling and small pack requests. The individual will weigh, cut, and package product efficiently and accurately, recording weight, temperature, and moisture. They will also receive imports, label and re-label product, set up bales by lot number and variety, and maintain records of product by lot number, bale number, and weight. Daily process documentation, copying required paperwork, and submitting processed pounds to the supervisor are key duties. The role requires timely execution of operations and packaging, conferring with supervision to assess progress and discuss changes, and continuously seeking process efficiency improvements. Collaboration with team members and adherence to Lean Manufacturing Principles are expected. Maintaining a sanitary and safe work environment, following safety requirements, and ensuring compliance with company safety policies and environmental regulations are crucial. A complete understanding of company policies, the Employee Handbook, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP, and cGMP pertaining to the department is necessary for quality, safety, efficiency, and sustainability. The job involves examining documents, materials, and products, monitoring work processes, and following all SOPs. Other duties as assigned by management are also part of the role.
