Seasonal Greenskeeper
About The Position
Useless Bay Golf & Country Club is looking for individuals interested in joining our Golf Course Maintenance team and learning about the field of turfgrass and golf course management. This is more than a landscaping position. You'll gain hands-on experience maintaining a beautiful golf course while developing practical skills that can lead to careers in turfgrass management, agronomy, horticulture, irrigation, environmental stewardship, landscape management and golf course operations. This is a seasonal position, expected to end on or around December 31, 2026, with potential for extension based on projects, weather, and course needs.
Requirements
- This position will require work on the weekends in addition to some weekdays.
- Must have a general understanding of landscaping.
- Must have knowledge and the ability to operate tools, hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the landscaping grounds and other general upkeep.
- Ensure the security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance and repair of all department tools, equipment and safety features are in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure all work spaces are kept in a clean and orderly manner and storing all tools, equipment and spare parts in proper location.
- Responsible for the proper treatment and care of tools and equipment used to perform tasks.
- Responsible to complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Reports and addresses unsafe conditions immediately.
- Other tasks as assigned.
