About The Position

Ocean Course at Hokuala in Lihue, Hawaii, is hiring a full-time Greenskeeper. The role supports golf course and landscape maintenance at a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property and is part of Troon, a global golf and community management company. Compensation is $21.90 per hour.

The Greenskeeper performs general landscape maintenance, maintains sand bunkers, prepares soil beds, assists with course detailing, and operates small machinery and utility vehicles. The position requires safe equipment operation and attention to coworkers and their work areas.

The position requires less than a high school education, up to one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination. A valid driver’s license is required. The role includes regular outdoor work and exposure to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, loud noise, and varying weather and work conditions. Candidates may need to read and speak English to perform job duties and communicate with customers or coworkers.

Requirements

• Less than high school education; up to one month of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform job duties and communicate with English-speaking customers or coworkers.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Physical ability to regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear; occasional climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, or crouching.

Responsibilities

• Perform general landscape maintenance using handheld equipment.
• Rake and maintain sand bunkers.
• Operate small machinery to assist with edging, trimming, and mowing.
• Prepare soil beds for sod, seed, and vegetative material.
• Perform course-detail tasks, including weed and debris cleanup.
• Operate utility vehicles to haul material and remove debris.
• Operate equipment safely and remain aware of associates and their work areas.
• Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
