About The Position
The City of Independence is seeking a Seasonal Event Worker for the summer to assist with their popular summer event series. This role is ideal for someone looking for an active and engaging summer job within the community. The season runs from June 26, 2026, to August 28, 2026, with work primarily on Friday afternoons and evenings.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Valid Oregon driver's license required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Enjoy working outdoors and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Event or general labor experience is helpful but not required
- Dependable, energetic, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Help set up and take down event equipment
- Assist vendors
- Maintain event facilities
- Provide customer service to event attendees
- Work alongside City staff to ensure successful community events
