About The Position

The Seasonal Events Associate performs duties associated with store events and participates in short-term assignments and seasonal events to support the store throughout the year. The role supports world-class customer service and helps provide every customer with a pleasant, productive, and legendary shopping experience. This includes assessing customer needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.

The associate establishes effective working relationships with management, coworkers, children, and customers; assists with seasonal events; facilitates in-house outdoor skills workshops; and participates in scheduled store events. The associate keeps the work area clean, neat, and safe, and performs other duties as assigned. Tasks are completed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to resolve problems and recommendations for work procedures, policies, and practices.

This is a part-time seasonal position. The listed starting pay rate is $17.13–$18.75. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to perform data entry and analyze reports and ledgers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and other associates.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to function in a noisy and hectic environment with children and parents.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to communicate constantly to exchange information.
• Ability to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
• Ability to occasionally perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Ability to occasionally work in low or high temperatures, outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind, and noisy environments.
• Ability to perform light work that may occasionally require lifting or moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds, using a team lift as needed.
