About The Position

The Seasonal Entertainer engages with customers and performs in character in an inviting environment during the holiday season at the Walnut Room Restaurant on State Street. The role also includes other duties as assigned. Macy’s foodservice teams support customers with restaurant and other foodservice experiences.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• May need to reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop.
• Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
• Frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and perform in character to create an inviting holiday environment.
• Follow Food Division standards and best practices.
• Be knowledgeable about the work environment and effectively assist multiple customers.
• Communicate customer requests and concerns to the manager on duty.
• Follow food safety standards and maintain the work area and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
• Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress in accordance with Food Division and Health Department standards.
• Wear a costume while entertaining customers, following guidelines set by the manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
