Seasonal VA Driver -Baton Rouge
About The Position
Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated Seasonal Driver to deliver vehicles and, in some instances, customers, employees, or vendors safely and on time to appropriate destinations while providing helpful, courteous, and professional customer service. The role transports fleet cars and vans between rental locations and may involve local or out-of-area driving. The position is seasonal, with employment ending after 180 days, and reports to 9292 General Chennault Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70807. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at a pay rate of $10.50 per hour. Enterprise Mobility operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car brands, along with mobility and transportation services. It is privately held by the Taylor family of St. Louis and, together with Enterprise Fleet Management, manages a fleet of 2.4 million vehicles and operates more than 9,500 locations in over 90 countries and territories.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on the driving record in the past three years.
- Must have no drug- or alcohol-related conviction on the driving record in the past five years.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Transport fleet cars and vans to and from rental locations, navigating written directions.
- Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of the area as needed, following all rules of the road.
- Deliver customers and vehicles safely and courteously to their destinations.
- Ride with or follow another driver to drop off vehicles or pick up multiple vehicles.
- Organize travel routes and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely.
- Communicate via two-way radio or cellular phone when needed.
- Clean vehicles and/or keep the bus clean during the shift when asked.
- Assist customers with directions, vehicle options, and basic policies or procedures when asked.
- Assist customers with loading and unloading luggage, entering and exiting vehicles, and other miscellaneous needs when asked.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
