About The Position

The Driver delivers vehicles and, in some instances, customers, employees, or vendors safely and on time to appropriate destinations while providing helpful, courteous, and professional customer service. The position pays $12 per hour and is located at 6117 Siegen Ln, Baton Rouge, LA 70809-4156. Drivers work one of the listed rotating schedules, alternating between week 1 and week 2. A variety of vehicles are driven in different weather and road conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on the driving record in the past 3 years.
• Must have no drug- or alcohol-related conviction on the driving record in the past 5 years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area as needed, following all rules of the road.
• Deliver customers and vehicles to appropriate destinations in a safe and courteous manner.
• Ride with or follow another driver to drop off vehicles or pick up multiple vehicles.
• Notify the Manager of customer or vehicle problems, including daily maintenance needs such as oil, tire, and fluid levels.
• Ensure the fuel tank is at the proper level and fill it with gasoline if needed.
• Complete paperwork associated with vehicle pick-up and delivery.
• Organize travel routes and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely.
• Clean vehicles and/or keep the bus clean during the shift when asked.
• Assist customers with directions, car options, luggage loading and unloading, and basic policies and procedures when asked.
• Drive safely and attentively to prevent injury to others and damage to vehicles.
• Improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
