About The Position

Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Concession Manager is responsible for the daily operations, supervision and proficiency of the Willett Arena Concessions.

Requirements

• Good Written and Verbal Communication and Computer Skills.
• Must have and be able to demonstrate good public relations skills.
• Must be able to get along and work with fellow employees.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to work in cold, damp, hot, or loud conditions.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Must be able to bend, twist, and squat occasionally for 6-8 hours per day and be able to lift 50-100 pounds.
• Ability to read/write and follow verbal and written directions.
• Must be able to continuously walk or stand for 4-8 hours.
• Must be able to operate point of sale software and cash drawer.
• Must be proficient in mathematics.
• Must have the ability to work unsupervised.
• Must have management skills to supervise concession staff.
• Must be able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Promotion and marketing of food.
• Assist with ordering, inventory and storage of all food and beverage products.
• Assist in training and supervising part-time staff and volunteer help.
• Supervise safe food handling practices and procedures.
• Lead opening and closing procedures.
• Oversee the stand while in operation.
• Maintain deep cleaning schedule of concession stand and its equipment.
• Maintain good relations with co-workers, supervisors, volunteer workers, vendors, and guests.
• Adhere to K.B. Willett policies and procedures outlined in the employee manual.
