About The Position

This position is responsible for managing the concessions operations of INTRUST Bank Arena. It involves managing food preparation and service operations for multiple concessions and portables, with a focus on inventory control and production needs. The role also includes managing staff, including hiring, scheduling, and training, and providing premium services and backstage catering at Capitol Federal Amphitheater. The manager will supervise concessions employees in food preparation, service, and clean-up, assist in training staff to ensure high-quality food service, and create a positive customer experience. They will work with the Warehouse Manager to purchase concessions products based on anticipated demand and public taste, and with the Director to determine menu and pricing. The role involves directing food storage, preparation, and serving, assigning workers to locations, tabulating receipts, balancing accounts, and generating financial reports. Daily inventory of products in concession stands is required, along with working within food and labor cost guidelines and complying with corporate initiatives, Health Department, and ABC regulations. Scheduling team members using ABIMM for events and day work is also a responsibility. Providing premium services and backstage catering at Capitol Federal Amphitheater, staffing and managing the team there, and overseeing NPO groups (scheduling, timekeeping, payroll, contract management) are key duties. Monthly cash handling procedures, including petty cash and vault reconciliation, will be completed with the Director. The position requires extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and regular attendance is essential. The role requires the ability to work at all Legends Global facilities in Wichita and Andover.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to control costs, generate increased revenue and manage accounts payable/receivable and financial reporting.

  • 1 to 2 years’ related experience and/or training.
  • Previous management experience in a similar venue.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification, or the ability to obtain within first 90-days
  • ServSafe Alcohol Certification, or the ability to obtain within first 90 days
  • ServSafe Allergen Certification, or the ability to obtain within first 90-days
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function.
  • Position requires the ability to work at all Legends Global facilities in Wichita and Andover.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, desired.
  • Experience working with Excel, Word, and Outlook Microsoft 265, preferred.
  • Experience with POS software used in F&B, preferably Clover Sport.
  • Experience with recruiting software and timekeeping software, ABIMM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise concessions employees in the preparation and service of food and refreshments, as well as clean-up.
  • Assist in the training of concessions employees engaged in preparing and cooking food to ensure high quality, efficient and profitable food service.
  • Create a positive customer experience and maintain a pleasant attitude when working with staff and customers.
  • Purchase concessions product, according to anticipated demand and familiarity with public taste in food and beverages.
  • Determine the menu and price.
  • Direct food storage, preparation, and serving of retail products by workers at concession stands.
  • Assign concessions workers to locations.
  • Tabulate receipts and balance accounts, and generate reports for Finance as needed.
  • Inventory all products located in concession stands, on hand at end of each day or other designated period.
  • Work within guidelines for food and labor costs.
  • Comply with Corporate initiatives, Health Department and ABC regulations.
  • Schedule team using ABIMM for events and day work as needed.
  • Provide premium services and backstage catering to Capitol Federal Amphitheater.
  • Staff and manage team working at Capitol Federal Amphitheater for events, and as needed for catering events in the Lodge.
  • Oversee all NPO groups including scheduling, time keeping, Payroll, and NPO contract management.
  • Complete monthly cash handling procedures including reconciling petty cash and vault reconciliation.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Directly supervises all employees in concessions.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
