About The Position

Foothills Creamery has proudly produced dairy products and served Western Canada for over 50 years. We produce butter and ice cream, now offering over 80 different flavors of ice cream, sorbet, sherbet, and soft serve. We take pride in using locally sourced ingredients and continue to use the same old-fashioned, barrel churned techniques as we did in 1969. Foothills Creamery is committed to growing our passionate and friendly staff, providing excellent customer service, and producing the highest quality ice cream and dairy products for Canadians. The Class 1 Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting butter and ice cream products to Foothills Creamery customer accounts, with weekly trips to Winnipeg, MB. The Driver will be paid hourly for all deliveries within the city and surrounding areas, and paid by completed trips in Manitoba. This is a seasonal role that will run until the end of September 2026.

Requirements

  • Class 1 Driver's License with 5 years experience preferred
  • Experience with Manual/Automatic transmissions
  • Clean drivers abstract for 5 years
  • Experience working with tandem and tri-axel trailers; trailers are mostly dual temperature refrigeration units
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs on a regular basis - this role includes hand delivery of orders

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to those with mountain driving experience.
  • Demonstrated ability with rigging and securing loads
  • Positive attitude and experience in customer service
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Organize and load product in order to assure the most efficient delivery route and schedule
  • Complete all paperwork involved in the delivery of all products
  • Complete all paperwork associated with any and all returned goods
  • Work with all customers and look after customer concerns when necessary
  • Communicate with Supervisors and staff members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle as well maintain all necessary paperwork involved with your daily work schedule.
  • Meet the requirements for D.O.T. drug and alcohol program
