About The Position

In Business since 1919 and still growing, Arrow is a leader in bulk commodity hauling, reload operations, freight management, logistics, consulting, and technology with operations throughout Canada and the U.S. We are looking for professional Class 1 Drivers with Super B pneumatic experience to join us and come part of our Arrow Reload Logistics team in Edmonton, AB. We are looking for drivers to haul dry bulk and oilfield commodities in specialized pneumatic trailers in straight tri-axle and Super b configurations throughout Western Canada. Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL / Class 1 or Class A, as required by region)
  • Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements
  • Experience operating pneumatic tank trailers is required
  • Winter and Mountain Driving experience required
  • Super B driving experience required
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and handle hoses and related equipment
  • Driver’s abstract with no suspensions
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre and post and enroute trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety, roadworthiness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Operate company truck and pneumatic tank trailer in a safe, professional manner including maintaining cleanliness of truck, trailer, and work area.
  • Load dry bulk product pneumatically into tank trailers according to facility procedures.
  • Deliver loads to customer or company sites.
  • Connect hoses, operate blowers, and monitor pneumatic transfer equipment during loading/unloading.
  • Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, load securement, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights and dimensions.
  • Record, maintain and check all relevant paperwork (i.e., bill of lading, delivery tickets, inspection reports) and documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
  • Follow all site safety protocols, PPE requirements, and environmental procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and facility personnel.
  • Report any maintenance needs, equipment issues, or safety concerns promptly.
  • Ensure that all customers, co-workers, and the public are dealt with professionally and with respect.
  • Operate onboard technology, Complete with Electronic logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status.
  • VHF Radio
