About The Position

Groovin' Gourmets, the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is seeking Seasonal Catering Event Staff for part-time positions in the Williamsburg area. These roles involve supporting corporate functions, weddings, and social events, primarily on weekends. The positions offer flexibility, allowing staff to choose which events they accept. Typical duties include assisting with event setup and breakdown, serving guests, and maintaining a positive demeanor. Specific roles available are Event Server and Event Bartender, each with distinct responsibilities and pay rates.

Requirements

Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work flexible seasonal weekend positions.
Must be of legal drinking age to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

Assist in all aspects of set-up and break-down of events.
Serve guests with attention to detail to ensure their needs are met.
Become familiar with the catering menu and answer customer questions.
Maintain a courteous and well-mannered demeanor throughout the event.
Review event worksheets to understand event details, timeline, bar type, and food.
Help unload vehicles and set up the bar area and glassware.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests.
Answer questions about drink ingredients and make suggestions.
Verify that guests served alcohol are of legal drinking age.
Clean up the bar area at the end of the event and pack beverages.
Assist with the general breakdown of the event.
