About The Position

The Seasonal Caretaker is a temporary, seasonal role that provides flexible assistance across the community to help keep the property clean, safe, and well-maintained. Duties vary according to property needs and season, including winter snow removal and summer pool support. The role also assists with grounds and common-area upkeep, light maintenance, monitoring property conditions, and other operational tasks. The position requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and more than 40 hours per week as necessary. The employee may need to respond promptly to urgent property needs and emergency callbacks, including severe weather events. Work takes place indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation.

Ability to perform manual labor, including shoveling snow, lifting and carrying materials, and completing physically demanding tasks.
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to safely and effectively operate basic maintenance and snow removal equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold, heat, and precipitation.
Ability to execute tasks independently and communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and team members.
Proficient computer literacy.
Ability to work more than 40 hours per week and on any day, including weekends and holidays, as necessary.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in inclement weather and be subject to emergency callback.

Responsibilities

Assist with snow removal and shoveling during winter months.
Support pool operations, including opening, closing, and general oversight during summer months.
Perform grounds maintenance, including trash pickup, light landscaping, and common-area upkeep.
Assist with cleaning common areas and community amenities.
Support assigned light maintenance tasks.
Monitor property conditions and report safety or maintenance concerns to the management office.
Assist with additional operational tasks as needed to support property performance.
Respond promptly to urgent or time-sensitive property needs and emergencies when contacted.
Provide courteous, responsive, and quality service to residents in accordance with the Platinum Service® program.
Follow community policies and procedures, including fair housing requirements.
