About The Position

In Nordstrom’s Beauty Department, Seasonal Beauty Sales employees create personalized beauty experiences and contribute to a passionate team. The role engages customers to understand their needs and maximize sales across on-trend and luxury beauty brands. Employees may build a customer following both in-store and digitally, and use selling tools including text and social media. The position is seasonal and based in The Woodlands.

Requirements

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.

• Empathy and respect for all customers, and ability to provide a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
• Set and achieve in-store and digital sales goals using selling tools, including text and social media.
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store Beauty events and services.
• Keep the department organized, clean, and customer-ready.
• Stay current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through training provided by Nordstrom and brand partners.
• Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
