Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must enjoy working with children.
  • Must enjoy working outdoors.
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Camp Director and help oversee day camp staff.
  • Participate as a member of the camp administration team to carry out responsibilities for the planning and implementation of Girl Scout program in a camp setting.
  • Compile the weekly newsletter.
  • Enter attendance data.
  • Administer camper evaluations.
  • Handle parent or camper concerns.
  • Keep track of camp finances.
  • Complete day camp staff evaluations.
  • Purchase supplies for camp as indicated by camp director.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in staff training, meetings, and supervisory conferences.
  • Assist in pre and post-camp cleanup.
  • Be alert to potential hazardous situations and follow emergency procedures when required.
  • Supervise off-site trips.
  • Act as a role model for campers and staff in behavior and attitude, following the Girl Scout Promise and Law, and camp policies and procedures.
