About The Position

Ag-Land FS, Inc. is hiring seasonal employees to support our agronomy operations during the busy season. Seasonal team members assist with daily agronomy tasks including facility operations, customer service, product handling, and field support. This is a good opportunity for individuals with agricultural experience who want seasonal work and are interested in gaining hands-on experience in agronomy operations. Working at Ag-Land FS, Inc. offers the chance to work alongside experienced agronomy professionals, gain practical experience in agronomy facility operations, and potentially obtain a CDL in some positions. There is also a potential pathway to future full-time opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent thereof.
  • 1 or more years of retail related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of basic business principals of inventory management and mechanics.
  • Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Frequently required to lift 51-70 lbs as needed.
  • Frequently required to work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.).
  • Frequently exposed to working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.
  • Will be required to work hours other than those considered “normal” to meet seasonal demands.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on FS policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
  • Must complete certified competent attendant training (3-year certification) before working around or handling anhydrous ammonia.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining operations at retail supply location.
  • Following the maintenance schedule of facility and equipment.
  • Responsible for inventory and distribution of products.
  • Driving and delivering miscellaneous products as requested.
  • Working on the anhydrous ammonia riser, filling anhydrous ammonia tanks.
  • Stocking and moving warehouse product and material.
  • Assisting both full-time and part-time operations personnel.
  • Maintaining the facility and equipment image.
  • Assisting in obtaining goals by improving efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Working with the location manager on all safety and compliance issues.
  • Following FS Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
  • Driving and running local errands as needed.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.
