About The Position

ASU EdPlus is a dynamic unit of Arizona State University focused on the design and scalable delivery of digital teaching and learning models to increase student success and reduce barriers to achievement in higher education. We advance the economic, social, cultural, and overall health of the local, national, and international communities served by ASU. We're seeking a curious, detail-driven Search and Content Analyst to join our Strategic Communications and Content Operations team. Every day you will make a difference in the lives of others by supporting the search strategy team in optimizing digital content across ASU Online and other products. You will conduct keyword researches, audit pages, shape SEO-informed content briefs and track how optimizations perform. This role is ideal for a strong critical thinker who’s ready to apply proven skills in search engine optimization and digital content performance. You’ll have the opportunity to leverage your skills in a variety of work across the search strategy team while supporting areas like SEO research, search performance monitoring, content optimization and content strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
• Experience in digital marketing, search or content strategy.
• Experience developing SEO-informed content briefs or translating search insights into content strategy.
• Experience building dashboards or recurring performance reports (Looker Studio or similar).
• Demonstrated interest in and passion for technologies, tools and skills, including SEO platforms and AI-assisted methods for search analysis and content optimization.
• Proven experience driving positive results in the SEO field.
• Experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
• Evidence of strong written communication skills to write briefs and strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others to accomplish tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies as needed to accomplish tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret search data using search tools and large language models, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations that improve page visibility and user relevance.
• Conduct keyword research to support academic programs, priority pages and marketing campaigns.
• Audit webpages for on-page SEO improvements, including metadata, headings, internal linking and content alignment; conduct periodic sitewide and section-level SEO audits, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Prepare SEO-informed content briefs that guide content strategy.
• Monitor rankings, query trends and performance patterns to identify opportunities and issues, diagnose notable changes in impressions, clicks, CTR or query mix, and recommend responses.
• Review competitor and peer institution search performance for benchmarking and insights.
• Analyze performance data from Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Semrush across priority pages and sections.
• Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports for internal stakeholders, summarizing key takeaways and trends.
• Track and evaluate the impact of optimizations on specific pages and content groups, reporting outcomes and lessons to inform future work.
• Maintain ASU brand standards across search-facing content where applicable.
• Assume or coordinate other duties or projects as assigned or directed.
