About The Position

Echo Services is seeking a Search Administrator to support and manage search services in alignment with enterprise-wide search business needs. This position supports the implementation, operation, and maintenance of enterprise content connections used across Microsoft Search and Copilot experiences. The role partners with business and technical teams to onboard approved content sources, configure and maintain Copilot connectors, and help ensure organizational information remains accurate, searchable, and discoverable.

Requirements

• Masters of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree, Masters of Information Science Management (MSIM) degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize changing demands, and manage or delegate responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong customer and client-service orientation with effective technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with SharePoint Enterprise Search and technologies such as JSON, KQL, SQL, and markup languages preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with project management and delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Asana.
• Ability to interpret unfamiliar technical information, learn new technologies, and apply that knowledge in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft Search, SharePoint Search, and Copilot Search configurations to improve enterprise content discoverability and search experiences by supporting testing and implementation of SharePoint Search and Microsoft 365 Copilot Connectors capabilities.
• Manage onboarding, configuration, validation, maintenance, and operational support for approved content sources, Graph Connectors, and search integrations.
• Evaluate prospective content sources for enterprise search indexing and provide implementation guidance to content owners and business stakeholders.
• Monitor connector health, indexing status, content quality, and search performance, and coordinate resolution of processing failures and service-impacting issues.
• Create, configure, and maintain search answers, including bookmarks, acronyms, keywords, result types, and other approved search optimization features.
• Provide troubleshooting, guidance, and support for search-related inquiries, content onboarding, custom content intake processes, and connector implementations.
• Review and validate content ingestion configurations, including custom content schemas, JSON files, SharePoint libraries, folders, lists, and related search metadata.
• Collaborate with content owners, subject matter experts, engineering teams, and program stakeholders to define search requirements, improve relevance, and support production releases.
• Maintain operational documentation, metrics, dashboards, governance artifacts, and process records related to enterprise search services.
• Provide operational feedback, feature recommendations, and usability observations to improve Microsoft Search, Copilot Search, and Search Administration experiences.
