About The Position

Our client, a private equity-backed manufacturing company in the New York City metro area, is seeking a dynamic and execution-focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial strategy, optimize operations, and drive value creation. The company is poised for significant growth, requiring a strategic finance leader who understands the complexities of scaling in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment. As CFO, you will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and private equity sponsors, leading financial planning, capital allocation, M&A execution, and operational efficiency to drive profitability and growth. You will be instrumental in guiding the company through expansion, improving financial processes, and ensuring strong investor and lender relations.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
  • Prior CFO experience in a private equity-backed manufacturing company strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), operational finance, and M&A within a manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain-focused environment.
  • Track record of working closely with PE firms, executing on growth strategies, optimizing EBITDA, and driving financial performance in a leveraged environment.
  • Proven ability to streamline processes, implement scalable systems (ERP/Netsuite preferred), and lead financial transformations.
  • Strong leadership, executive presence, and ability to influence C-suite, investors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing debt financing, working capital optimization, and cash flow strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives, ensuring financial stability and scalability.
  • Implement best-in-class financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, working capital management, and cost control initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Serve as the key liaison with the PE sponsors, delivering financial insights, performance reporting, and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead due diligence, financial modeling, and integration for acquisitions while managing capital structure, debt financing, and investor relations.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, financial reporting standards, and internal controls to mitigate risks.
