The Seafood Manager is responsible for exemplifying and ensuring strong customer service in all aspects of the job. This role directs and controls the operation of the Seafood Department to achieve sales and profit objectives. As a primary contact for customers, the Seafood Manager provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service, and is accountable for the department’s results in providing superior service, increasing sales, improving gain, and containing cost. The position follows division guidelines for the implementation of the merchandising program, and involves training, scheduling, supervising, and assigning duties to seafood clerks. Responsibilities include cutting, weighing, wrapping, and packaging seafood for sale, cleaning product, ordering supplies, receiving shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
