About The Position

The Seafood Associate works independently to prepare, package, display, and stock seafood products while supporting the store’s financial interests. The role is responsible for meeting company standards for guest experience, safety, and food safety. The position is based at 6700 W. State St., Wauwatosa, Wisconsin 53213. Duties in other departments may be assigned according to customer experience needs, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma preferred.
One year of retail or related experience preferred.
Must be able to work with seafood without negative allergic consequences that adversely affect the ability to perform.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

Prepare and produce seafood products according to the Production Planner.
Package and label seafood products according to the program plan.
Merchandise seafood products according to the flight plan and merchandising expectations.
Stock the seafood backroom, rotating and dating cases and buckets.
Notify the Seafood Manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
Work with other departments and stores to support growth in SpartanNash retail stores.
Communicate completed tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps to other associates.
Follow personal protective equipment and safety guidelines.
Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
Follow guest experience guidelines.
Perform tasks in other departments when assigned based on customer experience needs.
