About The Position

Elastic is seeking a passionate and energetic Sales Development Manager (Federal) to lead the hiring, enablement, and coaching of its Federal Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). The SDRs are crucial for developing the top of the sales funnel and are seen as future leaders within the company. This role involves building and enabling successful teams through clear vision, structure, and strategy, fostering a thriving team culture with shared values and appropriate incentives. The manager will focus on process and best practices without micromanaging, and will be adept at communicating with and influencing upper management, operating in an entrepreneurial environment, and prioritizing high-impact initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of directly managing Sales Development Representatives (Preferred).
  • Experience selling into the federal government.
  • Proven success in driving pipeline through inbound and outbound prospecting strategies.
  • Ability to commute to the Arlington, VA office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, hire, and coach top talent for the Sales Development Representative team.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Strategy and Operations Team to define strategies and processes for improving productivity and scaling team growth.
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure quality lead generation, education, and nurturing.
  • Work closely with Sales Executives to ensure sufficient quality pipeline to meet monthly revenue targets.
  • Motivate the team through creative incentives and inspire them with a shared vision and values.
  • Regularly report on key individual and team metrics to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
