About The Position

We are seeking an experienced SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with strong POS automation + functional testing expertise to drive quality engineering for retail POS ecosystems. This role blends hands‑on test automation, POS hardware/peripheral validation, and Agile delivery to ensure reliable releases across Web, Mobile, Desktop, and Cloud platforms. The SDET will build and maintain automation frameworks, partner closely with engineering and DevOps teams, and own test reporting, defect management, and continuous quality improvements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as an Agile Functional Tester / SDET, with proven delivery in POS test automation and quality engineering.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with POS testing (automation + functional) and POS hardware/peripheral testing in retail environments.
  • Proficiency with automation tools/frameworks such as Playwright, Robot Framework, Selenium, and automation development using Java/Python.
  • Solid understanding of test processes and deliverables, including suite design, coverage strategy, and reusable framework patterns.
  • Experience with Test Management tools (e.g., ADO) and disciplined defect/test documentation practices.
  • Working knowledge of Azure and Database Testing (secondary skills), including using data validation to support E2E quality.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to coordinate across multiple teams and operate effectively as an individual contributor.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable POS automation frameworks and scripts; execute automation within sprints to support continuous delivery.
  • Perform POS functional + automation testing, including POS hardware and peripheral validations (pin pads/scanners/printers and related integrations).
  • Create and execute test scenarios, acceptance tests, and end‑to‑end test coverage across Web, Mobile, Cloud, and Desktop application platforms.
  • Own defect lifecycle management: create, track, triage, and communicate bug reports with clear repro steps and impact.
  • Partner with developers, product, and DevOps teams to ensure testability, improve quality gates, and support release readiness activities.
  • Contribute to DevOps practices including understanding CI/CD auto build processes, supporting deployments, and resolving environment/test execution issues.
  • Produce and share testing deliverables and communications: test closure reports, weekly/monthly status, metrics, and overall quality dashboards.
