About The Position

We are looking for a hands-on SDET Engineer who treats quality as code and uses AI as a force multiplier. You will design and scale automation across web, API, and mobile, build performance test suites that catch regressions before they reach production, and embed quality gates deep into our CI/CD pipelines. If you love writing clean test code, breaking systems on purpose, and pairing with AI to ship faster without compromising on quality, we want to talk to you.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of SDET / Automation Engineering experience in a product company or fast-moving engineering org.
  • Strong programming fundamentals in Java, Python, or JavaScript / TypeScript - OOP , design patterns, clean code.
  • Hands-on with at least one Web automation tool: Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Solid API automation experience using RestAssured, Postman / Newman, or Karate.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD - building and maintaining pipelines, integrating tests, and acting on results.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one AI coding / testing assistant (Cursor, Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) used in day-to-day workflow.
  • Strong debugging skills across browser DevTools, network traces, logs, and database queries.
  • Familiarity with Git, code reviews, and trunk-based or GitFlow workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Performance testing with k6, Gatling, or Locust.
  • Experience with Apache JMeter for performance testing - test plan design, parameterization, distributed runs, and result analysis.
  • Mobile automation with Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
  • Security testing basics with OWASP ZAP , Burp Suite, or similar.
  • Docker, Kubernetes, and running tests in containerized grids (Selenium Grid, Selenoid, Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).
  • Observability stack exposure - Grafana, Datadog, New Relic,CubeAPM, Prometheus - for correlating test failures with system metrics.
  • Contract testing (Pact), visual regression (Percy, Applitools), or accessibility testing (axe-core).
  • Exposure to SQL / NoSQL databases for test data setup and validation.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end feature delivery with highest quality through automation.
  • Design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks for Web UI, API, and Mobile layers.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) with parallelization, sharding, and meaningful failure reporting.
  • Leverage AI tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT..) to accelerate test scripting, authoring, generate test data, triage logs and Extent / Allure reports, and analyse flaky tests.
  • Own quality gates, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and release-readiness sign-off in partnership with Dev and Product.
  • Continuously improve test reliability, execution time, and coverage metrics; champion shift-left practices.
  • Run baseline security checks aligned with the OWASP Top 10 - auth / authz, injection, broken access control, sensitive data exposure - using tools like OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite.
  • Author, execute, and analyze performance test suites using JMeter/Artillery (primary) - load, stress, soak, and spike tests - and report on response times, throughput, error rates, and key percentiles (P90 / P95 / P99).
  • Use Artillery / k6 / Gatling / Locust / where script-as-code or developer-centric perf testing is a better fit.
  • Integrate AI into your daily workflow/tasks - thoughtfully.
  • Use AI to scaffold test classes, page objects, fixtures, and JMeter scripts - then refine and harden the output.
  • Apply prompt engineering to summarise long bug reports, extract failure signatures from Extent / Allure reports, and propose root-cause hypotheses.
  • Generate realistic synthetic test data and edge cases with AI assistance.
  • Critically review AI-generated code - no blind copy-paste.
  • Share learnings, prompts, and reusable AI workflows with the team to lift the entire QE function.
