Scrum Product Owner
About The Position
Develop the strategic vision for and manage IT products and projects. Work closely with the Scrum team to keep work focused on goals, aligned with business needs and urgent matters, and consistent with the strategic vision, budget, schedule, and scope. Motivate the Scrum team by leading with purpose and providing clear goals and direction. Prioritize and lead the product backlog, including defining user stories and acceptance criteria. Prioritize and lead IT work in accordance with the strategic vision, company goals, industry trends, and IT quality standards. Ensure acceptance criteria for UAT are established. Lead customer-relations efforts, keep users informed of status, and obtain feedback for improvement. Lead IT projects by managing internal stakeholder expectations. Participate in Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and Sprint Demos; monitor project progress and identify project resource needs. Understand, use, and champion agile best practices. Partner with stakeholders to understand enterprise needs and work closely with other Product Owners to ensure product roadmap priorities are met and implementation plans are followed. Work with other Product Owners to identify dependencies, overlap, and integration opportunities. The candidate may work remotely from anywhere in the US.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Biotechnology, IT Project Management, a related field, or a foreign degree equivalent.
- Five years of progressively responsible experience as a Test Lead performing functional, system and technical testing, and end-to-end testing on projects in the health care insurance domain and financial lines insurance domain.
