About The Position

As a Steampunk Scrum Master, you’ll be asked to serve as the Scrum Master on an Agile software development team. A Scrum Master must have experience managing Agile/Information Technology related projects and must be well versed in software development life cycle and project management methodologies. Scrum Master will oversee scrum team for key high-priority project for the client. Must be able to identify and mitigate risks. We are looking for a Scrum Master with excellent communication skills who can work with key stakeholders/customers to support planning and delivery of technical IT development Agile projects.

Requirements

• Authorized to work for any U.S. employer
• 4+ years of experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies
• 4+ years of experience serving as the Product Owner or Scrum Master
• Must have CSM and SAFe certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
• Ability to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions
• Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a studio / human centered design approach
• DOD Tier 3 clearance preferred

Responsibilities

• Scrum Master will help define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
• Scrum Master will assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.
• Scrum Master will support managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and help to implement an effective system of project governance.
• Primary focus is making sure the teams are effective and focused on their work.
• Coaches the teams in their understanding of the delivery process, the agile mindset, and client values.
• Helps the team use their time wisely and avoid distractions.
• Makes sure team issues are escalated, worked, and resolved.
• Apply different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team-members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps.
