About The Position

The Scrum Master serves a dedicated Agile team on the program and owns the team's delivery cadence and health. The role facilitates sprint ceremonies, removes impediments, maintains honest and visible team metrics, and helps the team use AI-assisted delivery tools effectively. The Scrum Master also coordinates with other Scrum Masters on cross-team dependencies and integration points, supports the Product Owner with backlog refinement and sprint readiness, fosters continuous improvement, and supports release planning and readiness activities.

The position requires a hybrid schedule, working 3–4 days in Reston, Virginia, and at client locations in the Washington, D.C. area as required. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to pass a seven-year background check and obtain and maintain a U.S. Government clearance. Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule (3–4 days) in Reston, Virginia, and at client locations in the Washington, D.C. area as required.
• Ability to pass a seven-year background check and obtain and maintain a U.S. Government clearance.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritize and self-start.
• Adaptability and flexibility as priorities shift.
• Enthusiasm and passion for learning and continuous improvement.
• Openness to collaboration, feedback, and client requests.
• Must enjoy working with a vibrant team of outgoing personalities.
• CSM or PSM I certification.
• At least 2 years as a Scrum Master for software delivery teams.
• Working knowledge of Jira or equivalent Agile tooling.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted estimation and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews or demos, and retrospectives.
• Remove impediments, shield the team from disruption, and promptly escalate blockers.
• Maintain team boards, metrics, and sprint reports, leveraging AI-assisted tooling.
• Coordinate with other Scrum Masters on cross-team dependencies and integration points.
• Support the Product Owner with backlog refinement and sprint readiness of stories.
• Foster team improvement through actionable retrospectives.
• Support release planning and readiness activities.
