About The Position
The Platform Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer (RTE) supports a large Data & Analytics platform made up of multiple Agile teams, products, and technology workstreams. This platform-level role requires hands-on experience as an RTE for a full Agile Release Train, strong SAFe expertise, and the ability to coordinate complex delivery across Data Engineering, Analytics, AI/ML, Cloud, Applications, and Infrastructure teams. The role facilitates platform-level Agile/SAFe events, coordinates cross-team execution and releases, tracks platform performance and risks, communicates with stakeholders, and drives continuous improvement across Product Teams.
Requirements
- Formal, hands-on RTE experience for a full Agile Release Train.
- Strong SAFe expertise.
- Experience coordinating complex delivery across multiple Agile teams, products, and technology workstreams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate platform-level Agile/SAFe events, including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, PO Sync, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt, and other Platform QPs.
- Identify and drive resolution of cross-team blockers, impediments, dependencies, and integration issues affecting Product Teams and platform delivery.
- Monitor and improve work flow across Product Teams and the overall Platform; track performance, delivery metrics, dependencies, and bottlenecks.
- Coach Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Product Teams on Agile/SAFe practices, and work with Agile coaches to establish and communicate consistent Platform processes.
- Partner with the Platform Owner and Product Owners to identify, assess, track, and mitigate delivery, dependency, capacity, and technical risks.
- Track PI Objectives, commitments, milestones, dependencies, impediments, and delivery outcomes across multiple teams and products.
- Facilitate collaboration across Data Engineering, Analytics, AI/ML, Applications, Cloud, Infrastructure, Security, Network, and Architecture teams.
- Maintain visibility into cross-team dependencies and coordinate integrated platform releases, environments, testing, UAT, and production readiness.
- Establish and report platform metrics, including flow, velocity, predictability, PI progress, risks, impediments, and release readiness.
- Communicate platform-level status, risks, decisions, dependencies, and escalations to Product Owners, Platform leadership, and executive stakeholders.
- Lead Inspect & Adapt activities and ensure improvement actions result in measurable changes in team and platform delivery.
- Promote a common Agile/SAFe delivery framework across Product Teams while adapting practices to individual team needs.
