About The Position

The Scrum Master serves a dedicated Agile team on the program and is responsible for the team's delivery cadence and health. The role facilitates sprint ceremonies, removes impediments, keeps team metrics honest and visible, and helps the team use AI-assisted delivery tools effectively. The position follows a hybrid schedule of 3–4 days in Reston, Virginia, and client locations in the Washington, D.C. area as required. The role requires U.S. citizenship, the ability to pass a 7-year background check, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Clearance.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule of 3–4 days in Reston, Virginia, and client locations in the Washington, D.C. area as required.
• Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Clearance.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritize and self-start.
• Adaptability and flexibility as priorities shift.
• Enthusiasm and a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
• Openness to collaboration, feedback, and client requests.
• Must enjoy working with a vibrant team of outgoing personalities.
• CSM or PSM I certification.
• At least 2 years as a Scrum Master for software delivery teams.
• Working knowledge of Jira or equivalent Agile tooling.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• SAFe certification.
• Federal project experience.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted estimation and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews or demos, and retrospectives.
• Remove impediments, shield the team from disruption, and promptly escalate blockers.
• Maintain team boards, metrics, and sprint reports using AI-assisted tooling.
• Coordinate with other Scrum Masters on cross-team dependencies and integration points.
• Support the Product Owner with backlog refinement and ensuring stories are ready for sprints.
• Foster team improvement through actionable retrospectives.
• Support release planning and readiness activities.
