Drawbridge Partners•New York, NY
•$85,000 - $115,000

About The Position

Drawbridge is hiring a Scrum Master to support two agile teams of developers and product managers building a cybersecurity platform for investment firms. The platform includes web applications, APIs, data pipelines, and AI-powered features. The role combines cybersecurity, AI, and agile delivery, with an emphasis on using delivery data and AI tools as well as facilitating Scrum practices. The Scrum Master will help strengthen the teams’ Scrum practice, support continuous improvement, and make work and delivery progress visible to teams and stakeholders. The role also offers opportunities to learn how AI affects software planning and delivery, develop experience delivering a cybersecurity product for hedge funds and private equity firms, and take on a larger role in the Scrum practice as the organization grows.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in agile delivery, project coordination, or software development with hands-on Scrum experience.
  • Working knowledge of Scrum and agile principles, applied in service of teams rather than to manage them.
  • Familiarity with modern development workflows, including Git, pull requests, and CI/CD.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, or Cursor.
  • Comfort asking questions in the open.
  • Strong facilitation skills, curiosity, healthy skepticism of AI output, and clear written communication.

Nice To Haves

  • PSM, CSM, or similar certification.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps boards and pipelines or Jira.
  • Knowledge of Kanban or flow metrics.
  • Experience with SAFe or other scaling frameworks.
  • Basic SQL or scripting skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Cybersecurity or financial-sector experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring each event has a clear purpose and outcome.
  • Guide both teams and their product owners on Scrum practices and help each team improve how it works.
  • Remove blockers quickly and raise risks and dependencies early, including dependencies between the two teams.
  • Maintain accurate backlogs and sprint boards in Azure DevOps and make work visible to teams and stakeholders.
  • Track delivery metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and sprint predictability, and use them to improve team processes rather than judge individuals.
  • Help teams use AI tools for refinement, story writing, and retrospective analysis, with human review of AI output.
  • Work with developers, product, and QA on release readiness and keep each team’s definitions of ready and done current.
  • Clearly report progress, risks, and decisions to the Head of Development and other stakeholders.
