About The Position

The Agile Scrum Master leads Agile delivery practices for Item Management Technology initiatives supporting product data, item lifecycle management, and merchandising. The role partners with Product Managers, Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Merchandising teams to deliver business value through Agile principles and Scrum practices. As a servant leader, coach, facilitator, and change agent, the Scrum Master enables high-performing teams, removes impediments, drives continuous improvement, and fosters accountability, collaboration, and transparency. The role supports technology solutions involving Item Master Data Management, Product Information Management (PIM), item onboarding and maintenance, and product hierarchy and classification. It also facilitates communication between business and technology teams, provides status updates, escalates risks and dependencies, and supports release planning across multiple technology teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of Agile Scrum Master experience supporting technology delivery teams.
Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile methodologies.
Experience supporting retail, merchandising, inventory, supply chain, or master data management systems.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
Experience using Agile management tools such as Jira or equivalent.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice To Haves

Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master certification.
Experience in automotive aftermarket, retail, e-commerce, or supply chain environments.
Knowledge of Item Management, Product Information Management (PIM), Product Master Data, or Merchandising platforms.
Experience working within SAFe or scaled Agile frameworks.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile values, principles, and practices.
Encourage continuous improvement, Agile maturity, servant leadership, team self-organization, and predictable delivery.
Partner with Product Owners to maintain a prioritized, refined backlog aligned with business objectives.
Monitor sprint progress, team capacity, velocity, and delivery commitments.
Identify and remove impediments affecting productivity or delivery timelines.
Provide transparency through Agile metrics and reporting, including velocity, sprint burndown, say/do ratio, cycle time, and team health metrics.
Support PI Planning, quarterly planning, and roadmap execution in scaled Agile environments.
Support delivery of technology solutions for Item Master Data Management, Product Information Management, item onboarding and maintenance, and product hierarchy and classification.
Facilitate communication between business and technology teams; provide status updates and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies.
Build relationships across cross-functional teams and leadership.
Support release planning and coordination across multiple technology teams.
Analyze team performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
Lead retrospectives that produce actionable improvements.
Implement Agile practices, tools, and techniques to improve predictability and quality.
Mentor team members and support Agile transformation initiatives.
