About The Position

TISTA Science and Technology is seeking a Scrum Master to join its growing team and perform mission-driven work. This position facilitates Agile activities for a team working in two-week sprints, maintains team information and metrics in VA Jira, and coaches the team and VA Product Owner on SAFe 6.0 practices. The role contributes team objectives, capacity, and dependencies to PI Planning and escalates risks and blockers to the Release Train Engineer and program leadership. The position is remote in the USA. Candidates must be able to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust and a VA PIV credential.

Requirements

5+ years as a Scrum Master or Agile coach.
Experience on a SAFe Agile Release Train.
Jira administration of sprint boards and metrics.
Bachelor's degree.
SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification required.
Must be able to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust and a VA PIV credential.

Nice To Haves

VA or federal health program experience.
SAFe 6.0 practice.
Coaching product owners on backlog refinement.
SAFe Advanced Scrum Master certification.

Responsibilities

Facilitate sprint planning, daily scrum, backlog refinement, sprint review, and retrospective in two-week sprints.
Keep sprint backlogs, impediments, risks, and Agile metrics current in VA Jira.
Coach the team and the VA Product Owner on SAFe 6.0 practice.
Feed team objectives, capacity, and dependencies into PI Planning.
Escalate risks and blockers to the Release Train Engineer and program leadership.
