About The Position

The Scrum Manager – VMEC – Battery Energy Transfer ART High Voltage Energy Transfer Controls role involves performing as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a Scrum Team’s content. The individual will collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs. This role also requires collaboration with the System Architect to determine enablers and coordinate their rollout, as well as coordinating dependencies with other Scrum Managers when deliverables are dependent on other teams. The Scrum Manager will maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it is visible, transparent, and understood by the team. They will work closely with the Scrum Team Leader to ascertain team capacity, translate product and feature strategy into user stories, and provide clear and concise story descriptions and acceptance criteria. The role involves working day-to-day with scrum teams to clarify requirements, gain alignment around feature or product strategy, and provide clearly defined acceptance criteria for Behavior Driven (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Guidance will be provided for system demonstration strategy, including unit, integration, and system-level test strategy, and verification that stories are testable. The Scrum Manager will ensure validation and testing of features occur prior to End User Acceptance, maintain technical integrity, and enable the solution to address program priorities. They will accept each story, participate in team demonstrations and retrospectives to validate quality, and provide feedback to improve team processes. This role also requires participation in Program Increment Planning, Iteration Retrospectives, ART Inspection and Adapt sessions, and SM/ART Synchronizations. The position operates under a Hybrid Work Policy, requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, with the ability to report to a local office.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study.
Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or related occupation.
Five (5) years of experience with MATLAB/Simulink modeling, C code or other software related tools.
Five (5) years of experience with Algorithm and software development and or calibration of vehicle motion controls.
Four (4) years of experience with CAN, LIN, or Ethernet communications protocol.
Four (4) years of experience with JIRA and Git EcoSystem.

Responsibilities

Perform as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Scrum Team’s content.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
Collaborate with System Architect to determine enablers and coordinate enabler rollout.
Coordinate dependencies with other Scrum Managers when deliverables are dependent on other teams for completion, attending SM synchronizations.
Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it is visible, transparent, and understood by the team.
Work closely with Scrum Team Leader to ascertain team capacity.
Translate product and feature strategy into user stories.
Provide clear and concise story descriptions and acceptance criteria for user stories to ensure the team understands the requirements and expectations.
Work day-to-day with the scrum teams clarifying requirements, constantly communicating and gaining alignment around feature or product strategy.
Provide clearly defined acceptance criteria to enable Behavior Driven (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Provide guidance for system demonstration strategy during story creation including unit, integration and system level test strategy.
Verify stories are testable and can be used to generate testing objectives.
Ensure validation and testing of features occurs prior to End User Acceptance.
Ensure the technical integrity of the product is maintained and enable the solution to address program priorities (Features and Enablers), thoroughly addressing anomalies and other quality concerns in a timely manner.
Accept each story and participate in team demonstrations and retrospectives to validate quality, providing feedback to team and improving team processes.
Validate that stories meet their pre-determined acceptance criteria, have appropriate, persistent acceptance tests, and otherwise comply with Definition of Done (DoD).
Participate in Program Increment Planning, Iteration Retrospectives, ART Inspection and Adapt sessions, SM/ART Synchronizations.
