About The Position
US Heart and Vascular is needing a Scrub Tech to join our team at Birmingham Heart Clinic in Birmingham AL.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural assisting
- Excellent patient service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1-2 years of medical assistant experience preferred
- Experience in vascular, surgical, interventional or vein clinic setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for vein procedures
- Assist physicians and nurses during vein treatments. And procedures
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication reconciliation
- Educate patients on pre-procedure and post-procedure instructions
- Prepare and position patients for procedures
- Apply compression wraps, stockings, and post-procedure dressings
- Monitor patient comfort and report any changes in condition to clinical staff
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
- Schedule procedures, follow-up appointments, and diagnostic testing
- Clean and sterilize instruments and procedure rooms according to policy
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members
