About The Position
This position involves preparing the operating room, assisting during surgery, and preparing patients for surgery by cleansing and disinfecting incision sites. The role also includes assisting with patient positioning and draping to maintain sterility, cleaning and restocking the operating room after surgery, maintaining accurate surgical counts of sponges, needles, and instruments, and operating and maintaining surgical equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- One (1) year of related experience preferred
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required
- Current and unrestricted Colorado state licensure as a CST
- Current BLS
Responsibilities
- Prepare the Operating Room
- Assist During Surgery
- Prepare patients for surgery by cleansing and disinfecting incision sites.
- Assist with patient positioning and draping to maintain sterility.
- Help clean and restock the operating room after surgery.
- Maintain accurate surgical counts of sponges, needles, and instruments to prevent retained surgical items.
- Operate and maintain surgical equipment, such as lights, suction machines, and sterilization tools.
Benefits
- $10,000 bonus (paid out over 3 years)
