About The Position

The Nurse manages and provides care to patients and their families, and directs and supervises nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Nurse assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, delegates, and evaluates nursing care in alignment with the professional practice model. The role contributes to staff engagement, patient experience, quality and safety, and cost-effective care.

This position primarily involves scrubbing for cases at the university’s ambulatory locations and at East, in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. Focus service lines include, but are not limited to, Sports Medicine (primarily shoulders, foot and ankle), Hands, ENT, and Plastics. The role is based with Ambulatory Services at the Jameson Crane Operating Rooms.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
• Current Ohio licensure or interim permit.
• A 2-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous surgical center experience.
