About The Position
The Certified Surgical Technician, under the guidance of the RN, provides services to surgical patients while maintaining an aseptic environment. The technician also assists with transporting patients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of a formal accredited surgical technician program.
- BCLS certification.
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technician or grandfather status from the State of Tennessee.
Nice To Haves
- Successful completion of a surgical technician program preferred if grandfather status.
- Previous Surgical Technician experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide services to surgical patients under the guidance of the RN.
- Maintain an aseptic environment.
- Assist with transporting patients.
