About The Position

Stock and operate two multiple spindle automatics for a normal range of operations following standard procedures and general instructions. Maintain established production standards. Operate only after set ups have been made and checked by others. Gage work, remove, sharpen, reset or replace dull tools, make slight adjustments when necessary. Perform routine machine maintenance such as maintaining oil level, keeping oil screen free of chips, turn handle on oil filter, oil reel stands, etc. Perform required quality checks on production parts using gages, verniers, micrometers checking parts to prescribed quality standards. Perform bench work (sort, repair, wash parts) as required. Maintain housekeeping of work bench and general machine area. Notify leader of machine problems. Occasionally assist other operators and instruct lower-classed operator or trainees.
