About The Position

The Screw Machine Operator will safely manage screw machines, ensuring equipment functions efficiently during the machining processes. The individual will adjust settings as necessary to accommodate diverse materials and specifications.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Swiss Screw Machines, CNC Machines, or manual lathes.
• Meticulous attention to detail is imperative to ensure the production of high-quality and to identify potential errors before finalization.
• Strong competency in using precision measuring instruments and tools relevant to quality assurance processes.
• The ability to read and understand job orders, specifications, and technical documents is crucial for accurate task execution.
• Basic troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude, with an ability to effectively diagnose issues in machinery and tools.
• A thorough understanding of safety protocols and procedures is essential to maintain a safe working environment.
• Regard for safety – Ability to follow safety rules and processes and keeps own safety and the safety of others in the forefront of every action.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production maintains accuracy and performance by adjusting tools precisely and configuring machine settings, such as speed and feed, based on material requirements.
• Regularly inspect output using measuring tools like calipers and gauges to ensure quality.
• Promptly address any defects or issues to minimize waste and maintain product integrity.
• Read and comprehensively understand job orders and technical documents to ensure precise and effective task execution. This involves thoroughly reviewing all instructions and specifications, identifying key requirements, and interpreting any technical terminology.
