About The Position

Mueller Refrigeration in Hartsville, TN has an immediate opening for an entry level Machinist to operate Acme screw machines on Day Shift, 6 am to 2:30 pm Monday-Friday. The work of an Acme screw machine operator at Mueller Refrigeration is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment. Mueller Refrigeration is a manufacturer of HVAC/R components (valves, fitting, protection devices). Product range includes ball valves, pressure relief valves, check valves, manifolds, and filter driers, built to high industry standards. Products are shipped from Hartsville, TN to customers and distribution centers throughout the US and internationally.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, operating multiple machines simultaneously
• Proven ability to work well in a team environment
• Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
• Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills
• Proactive, positive attitude
• Quality and safety focused
• Ability to interpret basic blueprints
• Ability to measure parts accurately using calipers
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor Acme screw machines during operation
• Measure/gauge parts frequently to ensure conformance to specification
• Coordinate with setup personnel in case of nonconformity
