About The Position
The Screw Machine Operator operates Acme and Davenport screw machines, including loading bar stock, filling fluids, and removing chips. The role includes making minor tooling adjustments, changing and sharpening tools, and ensuring products conform to quality specifications. The operator may also assist in training others on screw machine operation and setup. Requirements
- Be mechanically inclined and able to work with tools and machinery.
- Adapt quickly to fixing familiar and unfamiliar issues.
- Perform standard math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to make machine adjustments.
- Have reasoning ability to think through and make decisions to overcome obstacles.
- Have relevant work experience in maintenance, mechanics, automotive mechanics, or completion of trade school.
