About The Position

McGard is seeking a highly motivated Screw Machine Apprentice to join their dynamic team. This role involves learning to operate and maintain screw machines, contributing to the manufacturing of high-quality, precision-engineered automotive security products and components. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of machine operation, quality control, and maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in basic math such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to lift and carry 15 ft. bars (60 pounds max.).
• Ability to stand 75% of the shift.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others.
• Must possess the necessary hand tools to perform their job correctly.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use calipers and micrometer.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate one or more, typically two, six spindle screw machines.
